Video: Police Proceedings Launched Against Car Honking Demonstrators In Budapest
Misdemeanour proceedings were launched by police against demonstrators who participated in a protest in Budapest Monday afternoon.

The demonstration, called by Momentum and independent MPs Bernadett Szél and Ákos Hadházy, took place at the bridgehead of the Chain Bridge in Buda, where protesters honked their car horns in opposition to the government’s handling of the coronavirus pandemic.

The demonstrators are charged with breaking noise ordinances.

The demonstration was the second to occur in a week: a similar protest was held at the same location last Monday.

In addition to the honking motorists, Szél and Hadházy, as well as cyclists who used their bells, had proceedings launched against them.
