Auchan Prefers Self-Service Cash Registers In Hungary
Hypermarket chain Auchan is installing self-service cash registers in all 17 of its Hungarian shops by the end of July, Napi reports.

Auchan first deployed these devices in Hungary last year and is now speeding up the project because of the pandemic, as the devices reduce personal contact.

The arrival of the new machines does not mean any dismissals, Auchan said, stressing that it has hired 150 employees since the outbreak of the epidemic, mostly working on online orders.

The new self-service cash registers will first be installed in Budapest and Pest county, followed by other regions.
