Party Zone Bars In Conflict With 7th District
Although following the lifting of curfew limitations in Budapest, the terraces of restaurants and catering facilities may be open, full freedom has not returned, and such venues must close by 10 pm, leaders of Budapest’s Seventh District have warned.

Website 24 writes that owners of such establishments in what is known as the city’s Party Zone do not agree with these new limitations, and are organising a protest in such a way that they will not close at 10 pm on Saturday.

The district pointed out that no music can be played in the streets, terraces must close at 10 pm, and tables and chairs must not remain on the streets after that time.

Officials also warn that terraces in the district are continuously being checked.

Roland Urbán, one of the restaurants’ owner, said that the main problem is not the 10 pm closure time but the fact that there are no people on the streets, reports Index.hu news portal.

Many venue owners say that without tourists it is not worth opening again.

A few places there with ‘private areas’ are not subject to the 10 pm closure time and welcome guests throughout the night.
