Hungary Talks With Slovenia On Phasing Out Border Restrictions
Slovenia and Hungary have started working on a plan to gradually ease border restrictions with a target date of June 1, Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó said, after talks with Zdravko Počivalšek, Slovenia’s economy minister.

Szijjártó said restarting the economy meant resuming international cooperation, and this entailed easing border restrictions “without compromising the priority of people’s health”.

The two ministers agreed the two countries had handled the epidemic successfully, Szijjártó said. “Both Slovenia and Hungary took timely action and managed to prevent the epidemic from spreading.”

Szijjártó noted that trade turnover with Slovenia exceeds an annual 2.5 billion euros, noting intensive ties between communities on either side of the common border.
