We are in the second phase of defense, which this does not mean the end of the epidemic, as the virus still continues to spread.

The authorities’ goal is to gradually restart life according to a strict schedule. It is still important to observe general precautions, especially the safety distance.

Parliament has begun debating bills to end the state emergency and maintain epidemiological preparedness. Elimination of the emergency is made possible by the fact that, thanks to successful control, Hungary have been able to avoid mass illnesses and gradually reduce the number of active infections, while maintaining epidemiological preparedness as the coronavirus is still here and infecting.
