Tasty Slice Of The Emerald Isle In Budapest
Something fresh for expats is cooking up on the Buda side of the Hungarian capital, and it smells good! Take you're pick from a full Irish breakfast, to lunch and afternoon snacks, including organic and gluten free options…

Each and every day you can choose something new from the wide variety of dishes on the menu, or just pop in for a drink and snuggle up in this charming family run bistro inspired by The Emerald Isle.

A certain Hungo/Irish combo, the Downey gang, present great tastes from Ireland - sprinkled with some Magyar magic. Just round the corner from MOM Park you can find this 'shabby-chic' spot, where family members Mark, Judit, and Judit’s Mum, serve up daily delights.

Homemade goodies galore are in stoire, including hand-made jams, fruit juices and fresh breads, to eggs (scrambled, fried and omelettes), muesli with Greek yoghurt, carrot cream soup with orange and ginger, vegan and gluten free brownies, cheesecake and carrot cake, walnut linzers (sounds fancy!) and lots of teas and coffees to go with it all.

They say the bistro is about coffee and friendship…the stronger the better. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, especially this wintertime, and it will only get better and better when the spring and summer are here, as then you can relax outside too.
