Covid Update: 109,405 Active Cases, 95 New Deaths In Hungary
976 new cases were confirmed. The number of people infected with the coronavirus in Hungary now stands at 354,252. The number of deaths stands at 11,615 while the number of those recovered now stands at 233,232.

109,405 is the number of active infected, 4,218 patients are hospitalized, 294 of them are on ventilators.

The vaccines that have arrived in Hungary so far have now been used in practice, 130,318 people have been vaccinated so far, and 2,939 have already received their second vaccination. The majority of those vaccinated so far have been vaccinated, as well as ten thousand people living and working in nursing homes.

The rate and speed of vaccination is determined by the arrival of vaccines.

The next shipment of vaccines arrives today, 20 January, with Pfizer delivering enough vaccines to vaccinate fewer people than before, nearly 36,000 people.

The government considers the pace of EU-coordinated vaccine deliveries to be slow, so it has also targeted the procurement of oriental (Chinese, Russian) vaccines so that mass vaccination of the population and lifting of restrictions can begin as soon as possible.

The goal remains for nurseries and schools to run smoothly and for parents with young children to be able to work.

There is a curfew between 8pm and 5am, everyone has to get home by 8pm. One case of exemption from the curfew is work, which, however, needs to be justified.

Police strictly monitor compliance with the rules, impose fines, and close places where regulations are not followed.Soldiers support police work in several cities across the country and relieve the burden on health workers in the hospital.

Recovered: 233, 232
Number of samplings: 2,984,748
