Police have ordered the Központ pub on Madách tér in the Seventh District to close for 60 days, because the bar served alcohol to people queuing and more than 100 guests gathered outside the pub to consume the products sold inside.
The authority also levied a Ft 500,000 fine on Központ for the Friday night incident.
A second bar on Madách tér was ordered to close for 30 days, because guests consuming take-away products remained on the square after 8 p.m.
Központ said on its Facebook page that staff followed all regulations, as not more than four people were ever in the pub at the same time, all wore masks, and the owners have a licence to sell alcohol.
Furthermore, it said, the pub does not have the legal authority to disperse crowds.
