Landmark Property 'Hotel Budapest' to Reopen as a Hostel & Dormitory

The Danubius Hotel Budapest, formerly known as the Körszálló, will reopen in the autumn after 18 months of closure to be operated under a different model, operator Hotel & More Szállodák said.
The hotel near Buda transport hub Széll Kálmán tér will operate as a dormitory for students and a workers’ hostel for large corporations for a three-year period.
In the current uncertainty in the tourism sector, this will be a temporary solution to bring the hotel back onto the market, said Danubius Hotels CEO Balázs Kovács.
