Opposition parties reacted to Prime Minister Viktor Orbán's speech assessing the state of the nation over the past year.
President Tamas Sulyok has set the date for Hungary's next parliamentary election at April 12, and the presidential office has confirmed it, MTI reports.
The government's aid loan programme is a "safety belt" for Budapest to ensure that the city remains functional, its employees get paid, and "nobody pockets the money owed to them", Alexandra Szentkirályi, the group leader of the ruling parties in the city assembly, said on Facebook on Monday.
Peter Szijjártó, the minister of foreign affairs and trade, is meeting his Iranian counterpart in New York on Tuesday to discuss ways to revive an earlier nuclear agreement.
