Independent lawmaker Akos Hadhazy organised a demonstration for the withdrawal of the amendment to the assembly law and the bill on the transparency of public life in Budapest.

Another demonstration was held in Budapest on Tuesday at the initiative of independent lawmaker Akos Hadhazy, calling for the withdrawal of amendments to Hungary's assembly law.
The announcement that Gyurcsany Ferenc is quitting his political posts and retiring from public life "changes nothing" as the opposition Democratic Coalition (DK) "will follow Brussels' instructions whatever the case", the ruling Fidesz parliamentary party group said.
