Bubi Celebrates Three Millionth Ride
The Budapest transport centre BKK presented the three millionth Bubi rider with an annual pass in commemoration of the latest ridership milestone on Tuesday.

The popularity of the MOL Bubi rent-a-bike service, which was renewed in May last year, is continuing, and the service performance is outstanding, even in comparison to peer systems abroad, the BKK said.

In the summer months of June and July, the system racked up 13,000-14,000 users on many days, and rarely fell below the 10,000 level.

The BKK and bicycle manufacturer Csepel added 190 new bikes to the fleet in the middle of summer, bringing the total to 1,750.

The number of collection stations was also expanded to a total of 173.
