Details of New Four-Day Workweek for Libri-Bookline Office Staff Revealed
Libri–Bookline will allow its office workers to work four days a week starting from October 1, the bookstore chain and online sales company announced.

Wages will be kept unchanged, but the daily working hours are increased from eight to eight and a half.

The new work schedule will be tested during a five-month trial period, and is not mandatory for employees.

“Due to the enforced situation caused by the pandemic, we simplified many internal processes, reconsidered various operating mechanisms, and we thought it was time to provide our employees with more time to rest and relax, so that it does not come at the expense of efficiency”, CEO Péter Kovács commented.

Personnel director Noémi Szeleczky added that “research and our experience show that an employee who can meet challenges both at work and at home is much more balanced and performs better at work.”
