From Nevada Burning Man festival to the village of Vál

Vál is a tiny village with around 2300 inhabitants, close to the capital of Hungary (Budapest – Vál is only 45 km), and since 2017 besides the village church there has been another attraction: the grandiose statue by Alexander Milov Ukrainian artist.

This breathtaking piece of art had been erected in Nevada at Burning Man festival in 2015, but now it shines its message of love in Hungary, it was inaugurated in September 2017. Since then the team of Haraszthy Vineyards organizes an open air event annually – when Covid permits.

And what is the connection between the US and Haraszthy Vineyards? A lot, for example the winery is named after Ágoston Haraszthy, the Hungarian born vagabond, the father of Californian viticulture. And another strong bond is the owner, the Argentinian Carlos Alberto Coelho, who has vineyards in California as well.
