Laboratory equipment company Novo-Lab is partnering with the University of Pannonia to develop a device for testing food ingredient quality in a HUF 1.1bn project.

The partners won a HUF 794m grant from the National R+D+I Office for the project which runs through 2027, Novo-Lab said.

The device could be used across the value chain, from producers to markets to catering establishments.

Novo-Lab had revenue of HUF 2.6bn in 2023, public records show.
