Higher Prices at Budapest Spas Revealed
Budapest’s city-owned public baths will raise their prices by 10-33% from January 1, because of rising natural gas costs, the spa operator company BGYH announced.

The company said that gas cost the company Ft 205.6 per cubic metre in 2022, almost three times as much as the Ft 74 paid in 2021.

The price of tickets to the Széchenyi and Gellért baths will rise to Ft 9,400 on weekdays from Ft 7,100 and to Ft 10,900 on weekends from Ft 8,200.

A weekday ticket to the Rudas spa will cost Ft 8,600, up from Ft 6,500. The price of a weekend ticket will go up from Ft 9,200 to Ft 12,200 and the special night-time ticket from Ft 9,500 to Ft 12,600.

The Palatinus strand on Margaret Island will not raise its prices in 2023, leaving them at Ft 2,900-3,400.
