Budapest’s Spas Start New Year With Moderate Price Hikes
Following a significant price increase for some spas in 2024, the price of entrance tickets to the capital's baths has increased by a lesser extent this year, between 4-6.9%, writes business daily Világgazdaság.

The price increase, which took effect from the second week of January, affected all but two spas.

“The increase rate varies between 4% and 6.9% depending on the spa and ticket type; however, in the case of the spas most popular with tourists, the increase rate is closer to the lower half of the range, and in the case of spas visited mostly by local residents, the increase rate is closer to the upper end of the range,” writes Termál Online.

Despite the price increases, Budapest’s baths remain a relatively affordable luxury compared to similar wellness experiences in other major European cities. Some spas offer diverse pricing tiers for tickets, including discounts for locals, seniors, and students.
