Budapest Travel Expo, 23 – 26 February
Hungary's number one exhibition for travel lovers is once again open at the Hungexpo Budapest Congress and Exhibition Center, featuring around 100 exhibitors from 34 countries.

Anyone who has been to this exhibition before knows that the event is a lively and colourful trip in itself, where the cultures, religions, sights and tastes of many countries come together with the aim of helping everyone find a dream journey for the future.

On for 45th time in 2023, it always highlights a domestic region and a foreign country for guests to get to know better.

This year, the guest of honor in Hungary is BalatonBike365, whch invites us all to 'Bike all year round around Lake Balaton'. And the foreign guest of honor is none other than the exotic destination Madagascar.

Also this year, the event also presents a cultural guest of honor, which is none other than the Liget Budapest Project - the largest urban development project in Europe with cultural content - which has already been recognised by prestigious international awards.

The exhibition organisers aim to inspire you to take multiple journeys, whether it’s at the booth of one of the exhibitors, via the 'unparalleled atmosphere' of the performances of the 'Unpaved Roads Festival', or via the musical, dance and talk shows on the exhibition stage.

The exhibition explores all forms of travel, from backpacking trips to caravan and motorhome journeys - guests interested in that should head for the Caravan Salon, which occupies a significant part of the exhibition.

The Africa Expo Budapest is not be missing, as it is the only four-day Africa thematic forum in Central and Eastern Europe.

Plus the Budapest Boat Show is taking place at the same time as the exhibition, itself the largest boat show in the country with more than 75 sailing, motor and electric boats.

The Travel Exhibition will also be expanded with a new program this year, as for the first time there will also be a festival island at the event where several Hungarian festivals will be presented, and a special promotion will be prepared for visitors.

- For example 500 Sziget Festival weekly tickets are offered at a student price and daily tickets can also be won.

The biggest 'travel novelty' in 2023 is the E-Bike Test & Show, where those interested can try E-Bikes on a specially built track, as this part of the show aims to make a wider audience aware of this increasingly popular method of travel.
