Public Boat Service Resumes on Danube in Budapest
Budapest public transport company BKV will resume its Danube boat service on May 2, the Budapest transport centre BKK announced.

The boat will operate every two hours, stopping at several points between Margit Island and the National Theatre between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. from Tuesday to Sunday. There will be no service on Mondays.

Monthly BKK passes will be valid for the boat from Tuesday to Friday, as well as Budapest passes.

Otherwise, tickets will cost Ft 1,500 each. Tickets for dogs or bicycles will cost passengers an additional Ft 1,000.

The tickets will be valid all day for multiple trips.

Children up to seven years old may travel for free.
