“Absurd" Mega Fine for Ryanair Annulled by Budapest Appeals Court
The Budapest Appeals Court has cancelled the €736,000 fine issued to Ryanair by the consumer protection authority last August, the airline announced.

Ryanair put an extra €10 charge on tickets from July 2022, as it passed on to its passengers the cost of the windfall tax levied by the government.

The airline pointed out that it was not making any profit at the time.

Ryanair said in a statement that the cancellation of the “absurd and politically motivated fine” confirms that the company has the right to freely set its ticket prices.
