Underground Festival Celebrates Reopening of M3 Metro Line in Budapest
To mark the reopening of Budapest’s M3 metro line, seven central stations will be staging live entertainment for two days this week, on 15 and 16 June.

The Budapest Metro Festival features music, exhibitions, stand-up comedy and a playground for kids.

The host stations, from south to north, are Nagyvárad tér, Corvin-negyed, Kálvin tér, Deák Ferenc tér, Arany János utca, Nyugati pályaudvar and Lehel tér.

To entertain commuters, events start from 7am, with more to follow as people come home late afternoon, and early-evening shows at certain stations.

For a detailed schedule, see here – the page is Hungarian-only but the timetable at the end is easy to work out.
