Prime Minister Viktor Orban said on Friday that Hungary is in a relatively safe situation regarding energy security for a few months, and it will be able to work together with the new government in Sofia to extend this positive period.
The European Union "has set the world record in hypocrisy" on the matter of Georgia, but Hungary and Slovakia have vetoed proposed sanctions against certain law enforcement leaders of the country, Peter Szijjarto, the minister of foreign affairs and trade, said in Brussels.
"Blackmailers" have failed to obstruct the work of the Defence Procurement Agency (VBU), the defence minister told parliament's defence and law enforcement committee on Tuesday, adding press reports suggesting that procurements had faltered as a result were wrong.
Hungary's foreign ministry has summoned Sweden's ambassador to Budapest over comments made by Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson in connection with Prime Minister Viktor Orban's recent visit to Georgia, Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto said on Wednesday, adding that the government "firmly rejects" Kristersson's remarks.
