'Zsolnay Festival of Light', Pécs, 6 – 9 July
The Zsolnay Light Festival welcomes visitors with world-class light painting, contemporary circus, and street art extravaganza.

Each evening, mesmerizing attractions transform the city center, creating a world where our imagination becomes the best guide, and our curiosity the best companion.

The Zsolnay Light Festival was first held in 2016. This year, during the four-day family festival, dozens of programs, an international light painting competition, and thousands of square meters of projected building facades await the interested audience.

Path of Light

Visiting the stations of the Path of Light in public spaces and most of the programs are free of charge. The Path of Light Extra, with six special locations (Civil Community House, Jakovali Hasszán Mosque, Cella Septichora Visitor Center, Baranya County Assembly Hall, Nádor Gallery, Kodály Center), can be accessed by purchasing a wristband.

Path of Light opening hours: Thursday, Friday, Saturday: 21:30–01:00 Sunday: 21:30–00:00

Starting from Friday until Sunday, the Kodály Center, Civil Community House, and Jakovali Hasszán Mosque are open from 12:00.

Path of Light Extra wristband prices:
Adults: 3000 HUF Children between 6-18 years old: 2000 HUF Children under 6 years old can visit the locations free of charge. Family discount: 8000 HUF (2 adults + 2 children between 6-18 years old)

Zsolnay Light Art Light Painting Competition

The international light painting competition is free for everyone to attend.

The competition artworks can be viewed on three evenings, on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights, a total of 11 times, on the southern facade of the Cathedral building.
