Kifli Joins Mastercard's Conscious Shopping Campaign in Hungary
In recent years, the two companies have participated in several joint campaigns, such as the twice-successful tree planting campaign, within the framework of which significant amounts of money were spent on the planting of several areas.

This year's Mastercard campaign calls for conscious shopping and Kifli.hu joins as a sustainable company. Since its inception, the company has placed great emphasis on sustainable operation, and its environmentally friendly solutions also protect the Earth's resources.

Couriers drive CNG cars and arrive in eco-time slots, where there is no unnecessary extra carbon footprint, as the courier arrives from a nearby address within a one-hour time slot anyway.

Orders are delivered in eco-bags made from recycled paper or PET bottles, which are also collected back from the customers by couriers. The latter only requires recycling after 15 washes, thus requiring less energy resources.

Customers can choose from several environmentally friendly packaging solutions, and thanks to Mastercard's offer, customers ordering more than HUF 3,000 from the Reusable packacking category will receive a gift basket during the promotional period.

In order to reduce food waste, Kifli offers food products before expiration but still in perfect condition at a significant discount, and what is not sold is handed over to the Food Bank on a daily basis.

Mastercard's approach is that environmental awareness is not a burden because it's useful, worthwhile, and easy to implement — if you know how.

Some tips will help you with this:

- Buy locals rather than those from far away.

- Buy handicraft products instead of commercial!

- Buy quality for long-term use rather than poor for 1-2 occasions!

- Don't let your fridge determine your day: buy as much as you need and use First In First Out method.

- Use alternative wrapping material for gifts and self-made decorations for the tree. Kifli.hu’s tip: their recycled holiday paper bags are also ideal for packaging!

- Plan your festive menu in advance, avoid waste!

- Instead of overspending and sticking to objects, a little creativity can save you a lot of money and energy, reducing your environmental impact!
