New Buyer of Budapest's Sziget Festival Revealed
US private capital fund KKR is buying Superstruct Entertainment, the company behind European music festivals, including Hungary’s Sziget Festival, for £1.3 billion, Financial Times reports.

According to Business Wire, Superstruct Entertainment, founded by Providence Equity Partners in 2017, owns more than 80 festivals from Europe to Australia, attracting seven million people a year.

In addition to Sziget, the UK-based company also stages the Tinderbox festival in Denmark, the Wacken Open Air and Parookaville in Germany, Defqon.1 in the Netherlands and Boardmasters in Cornwall.
