Volánbusz Wins Aid to Run Hydrogen Buses in Hungary
State-owned coach service company Volán¬busz has won Ft 267 million in state aid for the purchase of a hydrogen-fuelled bus, the Humda Mobility Development Agency, which managed the tender announced.

The first hydrogen-powered vehicle in the Volánbusz fleet will enter into service in suburban transport between Budapest’s 21st District and Szigetszentmiklós in 2026.

Volánbusz earlier tested the hydrogen-fuelled Solaris Urbino 12 electric H2 bus and is now testing the Toyota Caetano H2.City Gold model.
