Home Prices Rise 10% in Hungary this October
Home prices in Hungary rose 10pc year-on-year in October, listings site ingatlan.com said.

Home prices in the capital came close to HUF 1,100,000/sqm, with new homes going for HUF 1,350,000/sqm and resale homes for HUF 1,080,000, on average.

In Debrecen, Hungary's second-biggest city, home prices averaged HUF 853,000/sqm.

Construction sector output falls 8.2pc in September

Output of Hungary's construction sector fell 8.2pc year-on-year in September, data released by the Central Statistics Office (KSH) on Thursday show.

Output of the buildings segment slipped 2.0pc and civil engineering output dropped 17.0pc.

In absolute terms, construction sector output reached HUF 710bn in September. The buildings segment accounted for 62pc of the total.

In a month-on-month comparison, construction sector output fell 2.7pc, adjusted for seasonal and workday effects.

Order stock was 36.0pc higher at the end of September than twelve months earlier. Buildings segment orders inched up 1.5pc and civil engineering orders jumped 71.0pc.

New orders rose 2.7pc during the period. New orders in the buildings segment dropped 17.8pc but new civil engineering orders climbed 24.9pc.

For the period January-September, construction sector output edged up 0.9pc from the same period a year earlier.
