Watch: Is Hungary the Sick Man of Europe?
By all accounts, the Hungarian economy is not doing well, according to this video by TVP World - Poland's first English-language channel. 

The country just slid into a technical recession; the statistics office recorded the biggest slump in investment in 30 years; the Hungarian currency, the forint, is doing worse than its CEE peers; and the government's running a big deficit with access to some of the EU funds available to the country severed, the channel reports.

    Hungarian central bank (NBH) rate-setters cut the base rate by 50 basis points to 7.75% at a regular policy meeting. The Council also decided to lower the symmetric interest rate corridor in tandem, bringing the O/N deposit rate to 6.75% and the O/N collateralised loan rate to 8.75%.
