Szerencsejáték Zrt. has taken on a significant role in supporting flood-affected communities in light of the recent flood crisis. The company has decided to use its highly successful Super Concert to raise awareness about the importance of helping those in need, while also providing financial assistance to the impacted communities, according to the company’s statement.
The national lottery company highlighted that it will donate an entire week’s revenue from its Napi Mázli game to help the towns affected by the disaster.
Additionally, they have partnered with the Ecumenical Aid Organization, which will use the revenue generated from on-site sales at the Super Concert to mitigate the flood damages.
Szerencsejáték Zrt. encourages both the performers and attendees of the concert to support the relief efforts and actively participate in the aid initiatives.
The statement emphasizes that, as an extraordinary contribution, the company is donating all of the Napi Mázli’s earnings from the week to the affected communities. The Ecumenical Aid Organization will act as a strategic partner, ensuring the funds are used efficiently and for the intended purpose.
A special feature of the event is that attendees of the Super Concert can contribute directly to the flood relief efforts, as all proceeds from the on-site collections will go toward helping the impacted communities. This way, concertgoers can not only enjoy the entertainment but also make a direct impact on flood protection efforts.
The Super Concert will feature global superstars and local favorites, including the icon of Latin pop culture, Ricky Martin, alongside Hungarian artists such as Viktória Metzker, T. Danny, and Lili Regán.
Further details and information about the concert can be found on the official Super Concert Facebook page, where the public can also learn about how they can contribute to the relief efforts.
Earlier:
Andrea Mager highlighted that these super concerts have provided tens of thousands of people with a free, registration-free concert experience for years, and this year will be no different, with the event returning to its traditional venue at Heroes' Square.
She added that concertgoers will also have the opportunity to contribute to a worthy cause by purchasing lottery tickets at the event. This year, all proceeds will be donated to the Hungarian Interchurch Aid to support disadvantaged families.
Kristóf Gáncs, Executive Director of the organization, noted that the HUF 8.5 million (EUR 21,635) raised at last year’s concert helped fund the Sure Start Children’s Home, which supports disadvantaged children from infancy.
He also announced that the Hungarian Interchurch Aid and Szerencsejáték Zrt. have signed a four-year strategic partnership, including the introduction of a special lottery ticket next year to benefit the relief organization’s efforts.
Last year’s concert attracted around 50,000 attendees at Budapest’s Statue Park (Memento Park) and was followed online by approximately 15,000 viewers. This year’s event also marks the launch of Szerencsejáték Zrt.’s new lottery game, Napi Mázli (“Daily Luck”).
The concert will kick off with a performance by DJ Viktória Metzker, followed by rapper, singer, and songwriter T. Danny, and then Lili Regán.
