Film Series to Be Shot About Life of Legendary Hungarian Footballer Ferenc Puskás
The series titled Puskás Munka will tell the story of the most exciting period in the life of legendary footballer Ferenc Puskás, INANI Production Kft., the film's producer told MTI.

They highlighted that the planned film series tells the story of the roughly ten years of Puskás' life, during which " the little brother from Kispest" became a world-famous player for Real Madrid.

The film evokes communist Hungary in the 1950s, and features Helsinki, London, Bern, Rome, Madrid, "the locations of world-famous triumphs and heartbreaking failures," they wrote.

The script, which is currently in preparation, is being written by István Tasnádi, Bálint Hegedűs and Márton Bárány.

According to the announcement, the series' producer, INANI Production Kft., the script development was assisted by comprehensive research, in which football experts and historians also participated.

They added that the creative producer of the film series is Herman Péter "Pierre", the former director of drama and entertainment programs at RTL Hungary, whose name is also associated with the series Válótársak, The King, the Underworld and the Side Effects.

In addition to the 90 million forints of script development support from the National Film Institute, Szerencsejáték Zrt contributed 280 million forints to the realization of the fiction series as a major supporter through Szerencsejáték Service Nonprofit Kft, the announcement reads.
