A report posted on the ministry's website for workplace safety oversight shows the number of workplace accidents edged down 2pc to 20,240 in 2024.

The number of fatal workplace accidents rose by 13 to 75, but the ministry said these were mainly the result of non-compliance with workplace safety regulations.
