Record Low Temperatures Measured in Hungary on Saturday
A record low temperature of minus 1.6 degrees Celsius was measured in northeast Hungary in the early hours of Saturday, HungarMet, the weather service, said on its website.

The same lows were measured in two localities, in Nyirtass in Szabolcs-Szatmar-Bereg County and in Gagybator in Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplen County.

The temperature was under zero in several other locations in the northeast and also in some areas of central Hungary.

The previous record was minus 1.1 measured in Paks in 1995.
