Popeyes New Orleans-Style Chicken Fast Food Chain to Launch Restaurant in Budapest

Known worldwide for its New Orleans–style chicken, Popeyes® will bring its bold Cajun flavours to Hungary’s dining scene. Since the launch of its now-famous chicken sandwich in 2019, the dish has become one of the most successful quick-service restaurant innovations in the United States.
The Budapest opening marks another step in the brand’s European expansion, following recent launches in Spain, Switzerland, the UK, Romania, France, the Czech Republic, and Italy.
Popeyes® is well-known for its preparation methods: chicken is marinated for twelve hours in a signature Cajun spice blend, then hand-breaded and cooked in a specially designed oven until golden and crispy.
The Hungarian roll-out is being managed by Fusion-BP Restaurants Kft., a subsidiary of Fusion Group Zrt., which was founded in 1990 and has more than 35 years of experience in hospitality.
