Mud Traps Exposed by Receding Waters in Hungary - Police Warning

A 35-year-old woman had to be freed after she got stuck in the mud of the shrinking Lake Velence late Wednesday evening.
A Gárdony police officer who had just gone off duty heard the report via the police radio, and decided to help the woman.
He went to the lake and with the help of another man pulled the woman from the lake bed. Meanwhile, arriving police officers and paramedics took the woman to hospital.
A similar case occurred in late July when a man who tried to walk across Lake Velence also sank in the mud and water police had to rescue him.
Police warned that nobody should try to cross the lake on foot not even if the water appears to be shallow.
