'Dutch Queen's Day Reception', Ambassador of the Netherlands Residence, 29 April 2008
Ronald Alexander Mollinger, the Dutch Ambassador in Budapest, welcomed 100's of guests, including many fellow ambassadors, to his residence in the Buda Hills to celebrate the official birthday of Queen Beatrix of The Netherlands.
In his speech he highlighted that last year Holland was the largest foreign investor in Hungary, he praised the work of his colleagues at The Royal Netherlands Embassy in Hungary, and congratulated Hungary on many things including the appointment of their new football coach, a Dutchman.
His address also paid tribute to a Hungarian who kindly provided the red wine for the event, a man who his family had met and supported in The Netherlands around 50 years ago. His speech and the wine went down well, along with piano music and traditional Dutch refreshments.
