XpatLoop Networking Event, Radisson Blu Béke Hotel, 30 September 2010
Last Thursday evening from 6.30pm over 100 readers of XpatLoop.com gathered for a networking event, with wine from Szent Gaál and snacks from the Radisson Blu Béke Hotel in downtown Budapest.
Guests included senior business figures, professors, singers, sausage makers, pianists, and artists. There was a good turn out from the various international schools in Budapest, for some reason they did very well in the business card draw.
Both locals and expats of many different nationalities attended, from all over Europe; America; and Asia. Many 'networked' until well after 10pm.
"I had a very good time meeting old and new aquaintances. I was surprised by the lovely White Kadarka and actually bought a bottle. It was good for networking and I made a few new contacts. I even won a prize during the business card drawing," wrote well known local expat Dan Swartz. Here are 3 more quotes:
* "Yesterday's gathering was quite delightful. And the merlot was fantastic!" said Berne Weiss,
* "Thanks a lot for inviting me to the event. My only regret is not having bought a bottle. I look forward to the next one," wrote Andrea Toth,
* "Compliments for the nice evening, I saw all attendees having a good time," said Gábor Gődény.
Many thanks are due to all the event supporters, including the hotel and FirstMed Centers, Fox Autorent, CinemaCity, David Wilkinson, Pagony Közért.
