St Andrew's Ball In Budapest, 1 December

It was an another great Scottish gala in Budapest, with fine food, seriously nice whisky, live entertainment, Ceilidh dancing, and a charity auction.

Duncan Graham, President of the St Andrew’s Association of Hungary, told XpatLoop:

"The St Andrew’s Ball raised just over HUF 5 million for charity projects. I’d like to give a huge thanks to our main sponsors, Hani Sasani of Perisia Consulting, and Qatar Airways. Also our thanks to our other sponsors who made the event a success, Diageo, Soproni, GoodSpirit Whisky Bar, Chris Clarke from Clarke & White Property, XpatLoop.com and G&G Wealth Advisors.

Special thanks to HMA Iain Lindsay OBE as Honorary Patron, for his support and the donation of a dinner for guests at the British Residence. Adam Bogdan, the goalkeeper for Hibernian F.C. donated football shirts that raised HUF 1.3 million in total."

HMA Iain Lindsay OBE, British Ambassador to Hungary, told XpatLoop:

"It was a memorable evening, possibly the largest St Andrew’s Ball ever held in Budapest.  Congratulations to Duncan Graham and his team at the St Andrews Association, and to all those who attended, enabling over HUF 5 million to be raised for worthy local causes.  What a great way to start the Scottish winter season in Budapest!"
