1. When did you arrive in Budapest and what brought you here?
June 2010, for my job as CMO at Telenor Hungary.

2. Have you ever been an expatriate elsewhere?
Nearly two years in Russia, 3 years in Pakistan, and a 5 month assignment in India.

3. What surprised you most about Hungary?
Everything seems to be within driving distance, and so it is a great base. Budapest is a very continental city, with absolutely everything to hand, and very practical for travelling the country and Region.

4. Friends are in Budapest for a weekend - what must they absolutely see and do?
See the view from Fisherman’s Bastion. Relax at Széchényi bath, then experience one of the many good restaurants e.g. Árkád and Nobu.

5. What is your favourite Hungarian food?
Paprikás – beef or chicken.

6. What is never missing from your refrigerator?
Yardsburg cheese, and usually fresh salmon too.

7. What is your favourite Hungarian word?

8. What do you miss most from home?
Friends and family.

9. What career other than yours would you love to pursue?
So happy with what I am doing. Perhaps to be a movie director.

10. What's a job you would definitely never want?
There are many – would not be a scientist for instance.

11. Where did you spend your last vacation?
Hurghada, Egypt.

12. Where do you hope to spend your next holiday?
Sechelles maybe - for the weather and beaches.

13. What was your favourite band, film, or hobby as a teen?
U2, martial arts, and computer programming.

14. What can't you resist?
A great steak with a glass of fine red wine.

15. Red wine or white?
Red e.g. from Villány.

16. Book or movie?
Since having a child I have changed from reading to watching.

17. Morning person or night person?
Night.

18. Which social issue do you feel most strongly about?
Children are important for me – providing for orphans and small children - they are the most vulnerable on the world. SOS children villages around the world do a great job.

Buda

Seize the day.
