The British Embassy in Budapest, following the successful pilots in Portugal, is among the first British consular missions in the Central European Network to pilot this online booking system. If this proves successful, we expect this practice to be replicated by British Consulates in other countries. The type of notarial services provided by the British Embassy include, amongst others, taking oaths or affirmations and notices of marriage.

The registration part is extremely straightforward as only an email address and contact phone number is required. Then it is just a case of choosing the service required, clicking on the available day and time and clicking send. The confirmation email will come immediately and a reminder will be sent out at least 24 hours prior to the appointment. Customers can even save their appointment on their outlook calendar to keep things organised.

There will be a transitional service available until the end of May during which period customers will also be able to attend the Embassy without an appointment.
