"The red mud spill had reached the main branch of the Danube through the Rába and the Mosoni-Danube by noon Thursday, Disaster Management spokesman Tibor Dobson announced yesterday. The aim is to lower the pH value of the water from nine to eight as soon as possible, he told Inforádió.
