A road in Aquincum, in the third district of Budapest, was named at a ceremony after Angel Sanz Briz, a Spanish diplomat who saved the lives of Jews during the Holocaust. Commuter Trains From Budapest To Esztergom Resume After Long Delay

Passenger transport is set to restart on the refurbished rail track between Esztergom and Budapest on Thursday after a Ft 44.5 billion, three-year project reached completion 18 months behind schedule. Passengers can only board diesel trains as MÁV has still not announced the tender for building out the overhead contact lines required for the modern Flirt multiple units to run.

From the bike (or car) road to the right of Auchan (Jegtoro u.) just before the intersection with the Infopark, one can see buildings that, from afar, seem to be in the same style of those I discovered a few weeks ago further down the road as part of the old Obuda Gasworks Residential Estate. On my way back from my bike ride yesterday I explored the area, and was correct.

I have been cycling up to Romai Part and Szentendre for years, and have always loved the four water and coal-clock towers at the old gas works. Luckily they have managed to survive (so far) the reconstruction of the old chemical works as an industrial park. In 1908 a municipal decision was made to replace several obsolete gas factories with a single new facility.
