BKK Invites Designs For New Budapest Bridge
Budapest transport centre BKK has announced a tender for designing a new bridge in Budapest over the Danube, according to the announcement published on the EU public procurement website on Monday.

The Aquincum Bridge will run parallel to the railway bridge connecting the Third District in Buda to the Fourth District in Pest.

The task is divided into two parts – designing the bridge itself and the road network leading to it.

The goal is not a motorway in the city but a road network commensurate with the texture of the city, the BKK wrote.

Bidders must have at least Ft 45 million in revenues from bridge design over the last three years.

This bridge is different from the Galvani Bridge which is being designed in the south of Budapest, Napi points out.
