Approximately 1,000 Hungarian taxis are expected to close the main roads of Budapest today in a demonstration against ride-sharing services, which they claim still operate unlawfully in the capital because of lack of effective government action, according to reports.

A continued demonstration of taxi drivers has considerably slowed traffic in the Deák Square area in central Budapest. Similarly to Monday and Tuesday, the protesters blocked the junction of Bajcsy-Zsilinszky Road, Andrássy Avenue and József Attila Street, leaving only one lane in each direction for traffic to pass.
