Evergreen Budapest resident Bruce Lewis will be giving a reading from his debut novel, Joshua Fragmented, at the Massolit book store.
Set in the bizarre times he lived through here 30 years ago, the story moves with pace and passion from Bruce’s boyhood home at Water Maple Farm in Kentucky to a decade spent in Hungary as a travelling musician and melancholic expat.

Literary and art workshops is a new broad project of Panel Literature Association and Panel magazine.
Within the years we gained certain experience in hosting public events. We figured it'd be only natural if we gather people together not only for the launches, readings and art shows, but also - for studies and for mastering craft.

Idly looking around online for things of a cultural bent to do in the capital, I landed on the Müpa Budapest website and was struck by how many of the events were sold out, particularly as we’re talking pretty high culture.
Panel's 10th Issue Launch & Anniversary Party, Massolit Books & Café Budapest, 3 March

From the organisers: Panel began in loose conjecture around a graffiti-covered table in a Budapest ruin pub that has since been ground to dust. We cobbled together what would become issue 1 from whatever scraps of credibility we could lay our hands on. We paid for the printing out of our own pockets.
So, this is a milestone for us, a lap in a race with no clear beginning or finish, but a lap ...
