From the organisers: Panel began in loose conjecture around a graffiti-covered table in a Budapest ruin pub that has since been ground to dust. We cobbled together what would become issue 1 from whatever scraps of credibility we could lay our hands on. We paid for the printing out of our own pockets.

So, this is a milestone for us, a lap in a race with no clear beginning or finish, but a lap to be proud of.

We can't wait to celebrate the release of the anniversary issue with you guys – our friends, contributors, readers, Budapest locals, international crowd, expats, tourists, students... Basically, with everyone who cares to join.

The launch party for issue 10 will take place at Massolit – a place that not only plays a unique role in Budapest’s cultural scene but also holds a special place in the hearts of those who love coffee, books, and creative crowds, and also for us. We held our first event in Massolit, and since then, we have hosted regular readings and launches there. We figured the only place we could hold our anniversary launch party is Massolit.

Expect: readings, talks, laughs, occasional sentimental outbursts, reminiscences, copies of the special 10th anniversary edition of Panel, the best people of Panel, and the best people of Budapest.
