Budapest Zoo and Botanical Garden is honoured to host the EAZA Annual Conference in Budapest in September, 2014. The EAZA Annual Conference is the biggest annual gather of the European zoo and aquarium community, bringing more than 600 delegates together for four days of paralell meetings and plenary sessions, presentations, discussions and networking opportunities.

After 52 years, an elephant baby was born at the Budapest Zoo & Botanical Garden. The baby was born on Thursday morning, February 14. The baby and mother are hermetically closed off from the outside world. The public may not view them yet, and only designated keepers and veterinarians may enter the Elephant House.
