Now in its fifth year, this smaller sibling of one of Hungary’s most beloved culinary events welcomes chimney cake fans, families, children, and anyone enchanted by the golden, fragrant allure of this traditional treat.

Set in the area next to the Biodome, the festival promises a truly special atmosphere – with the closeness of nature, glimpses of exotic animals, and the irresistible aroma of freshly baked chimney cakes all blending into an unforgettable experience.

This year’s event also celebrates two milestones: Édes Mackó Chimney Cake Confectionery turns 7, while the Vitéz Kürtős Kiosk at the Zoo marks its 16th anniversary – both beloved names among chimney cake aficionados.

The three-day festival offers far more than sweet treats alone. Visitors can enjoy a wide range of family-friendly programmes, from animal shows and creative craft workshops for children to interactive quizzes, a giant mill game, and a themed photo corner.

Live music performances will add to the festival’s joyful, springtime mood throughout the weekend.

One of the event’s unique features is that it includes full access to the Zoo: with a single entrance ticket, guests can not only take part in the festival’s offerings but also explore all the wonders of the Budapest Zoo & Botanical Garden.

This turns the chimney cake celebration into a full-day outing where both young and old can create lasting memories.
