A Celebration of Japanese Culture
Throughout the festival weekends, Japanese culture will be showcased in many unique and captivating forms.
In 2026, the programme will include:
Traditional Arts: Ikebana exhibitions, workshops, and a Haiku competition.
Music & Language: Japanese language lessons, traditional music performances, and live concerts.
Skill & Strategy: Martial arts and weapons demonstrations, plus Go (board game) instruction.

Weekend 1: March 28–29, 2026
Weekend 2: April 11–12, 2026
Opening Hours: 09:00 – 18:00 (Last entry at 17:30)
Visitor Guidelines & Picnics
While the Garden usually prohibits picnicking, an exception is made during the Sakura Festival. Guests are welcome to set up blankets in designated areas (please avoid areas marked with "No Picnicking" signs).
Please note:
No Smoking: Smoking and e-cigarettes are prohibited throughout the garden.
No Pets: Animals (dogs or otherwise) are not permitted.
Location: Most Sakura trees are located in the Asia Garden and near the exit. Bloom timing is weather-dependent!
