Monika is a Hungarian born jazz singer and songwriter has made her mark in the UK where she created her hub (Brighton Bands and Musicians) to support and connect local artists. She was also recognised as a musician and songwriter touring mostly in the South Coast of England and London with the support of Success Express and Talentbanq.

I was born in Budapest on 25 April 1986. As a teenager I was open to art, music especially, which was (and still is) a serious influence and source of inspiration. During my highschool years I learned to play the trombone and the guitar.

In 2015 and 2017, Patrick won a translation grant from the Milán Füst foundation to support his work translating plays by Milán Füst (Boldogtalanok) and Sándor Bródy (A dada). He plans to continue his work as a literary translator and dreams of producing an anthology of classic Hungarian plays in his own English translations.

After taking leading roles in the student and cultural life of the city for years, she continued her studies in adult & continuing education and event management in Debrecen. She moved to Budapest in 2013 right after finishing her master’s degree.
