MP for green party LMP László Moldován submitted three referendum questions to the Budapest Elections Committee, of which one was approved for petition last week.

Hungary Committed To NATO Collective Security

Hungary is a committed member of NATO and is ready to participate in shaping the alliance’s collective security, the Hungarian defence minister said on the sidelines of a NATO Transformation Seminar in Budapest. It is necessary to increase defence spending, but it is also important to use that budget more efficiently, István Simicskó told a press conference.

The government will publish all EU tenders for the 2014-2020 period next week, which puts the country ahead of most countries in the region, government office chief János Lázár told a conference. Accounting for the prior period will be closed by June 30 to avoid a loss of resources, and the number of contested cases is minimal, he told the conference organised by financial news portal Portfolio.
Automated Fare-Collection Scheme On Budapest Public Transport Coming Soon

As a result of recent work progress, BKK Centre for Budapest Transport, being in charge of the introduction of the automated fare-collection (AFC) scheme, and German supplier Scheidt & Bachmann jointly approved the updated project schedule for system introduction which includes the testing of an access gate to be installed at one of the metro stations by 31 July 2017.
